Last week, we talked about how realism is ruining comic books and superhero films. Sure, the early comics, such as pulps, were gritty and dark, they still had this expectation that as fiction, you would suspend your belief. I mainly honed in on the hero side, but this time, I want to touch on villains and how fake fans on social media demand a strong sense of realism in the comics and how that is ruining the genre.
