Music Review- Jonathan Young: The Land Of Broken Dreams ft. Caleb Hyles

Jonathan Young has a large collection of cover songs from Disney, anime, feature films, and musicals to extend your playlist significantly. It was only a matter of time before he dropped another original “The Land Of Broken Dreams” where he sings, plays multiple instruments, and collaborates with Caleb Hyles who provides guest vocals.

The song is about not letting your past push you into a generational cycle of failure. Jonathan Young does a good job with writing this song. You can tell it is not a fly-by cash grab. Young clearly put a lot of thought into this song with both the lyrics and the rock-style music to go with it. I felt that it had a lot to say about choosing your own way. Of course, Young’s epic voice does an excellent job with Caleb Hyles, who compliments it perfectly.

The music video was pretty cool. It was just a recording of the studio work that Young and Hyles did for the song, showing the hard work that went into giving it their all.
