When Willie Nelson dropped “On The Road Again” on his 1980 album Honeysuckle Rose, it was a smash hit, rising to the charts and winning Grammy Award for Best Country Song in 1981. It stands to reason that Home Free would cover it with their own style.
The all vocal band do a good job of paying homage to the Willie Nelson classic. They bring it in very smooth and give it a relaxing feel that you can just tap your foot to. The guys definitely bring out their A-game and sync in their unique talent for making “On The Road Again” have that moder flare to it.
I also liked the music video. They made it from their homes, but spliced in footage from their concerts, meet and greets, and even from their tour buses. It was a cool shout out to their fans, bringing with them the memories of what it was like to see a show live.

I love this video. The way they slowed it down just brought out their yearning to be ‘on the road again’
I totally agree!
