Ray Fisher continues his social media campaign to call out Warner Media executives and get an “independent” investigator to look into the behind-the-scenes issues that happened during Joss Whedon’s reshoots of the ‘Justice League‘ following original director Zack Snyder’s departure from the project.

Honestly, when you look at the back and forth between Whedon, Fisher, and Warner Bros., one should not be surprised as the drama continues to escalate. Consider the cast, the crew, and all of the people involved in the making of Justice League and the later reshoots. Remember, all of these accusations are rumors and should be treated as such.

• Joss Whedon is a known narcissist and just an overall jerk in Hollywood.
• Amber Heard and Ezra Miller both have allegations of getting physical with folks, clearing showing explosive personalities.
• Ben Affleck was dealing with personal issues and would later go to rehab, disrupting a Batman spin-off.
• Geoff Johns had just come on board with the DCEU and was still trying to play catch up.
• Ray Fisher was accused of being a diva during both the initial filming and the reshoots.
• Henry Cavill and Amy Adams were called back for reshoots after starting other projects.

Essentially, this was a powder keg of massive egos, frustration, and volatility that created this tough production. From the very beginning, this was a bomb waiting to go off. Considering all of this, it is a wonder that it took the Snyder Cut coming to HBO Max to light the fuse.

Personally, it seems like Fisher’s comments are a bit convenient with the time considering he waited until the check cleared to complain and also initially praised Joss Whedon’s efforts in post-production, right along with the rest of the cast. Now, I am not saying his comments are incorrect. Whedon was also rumored to be controlling during the production of Avengers: Age of Ultron, after which he took a sabbatical from filmmaking.

Fisher’s accusations have not been without his supporters. In fact, his co-star and ‘Aquaman‘ lead Jason Momoa seemed to support the Cyborg actor. “Serious stuff went down,” he said according to Bounding Into Comics, adding that Warner Media “needs a proper investigation.”

WB has not taken this lying down. One executive has claimed that Fisher refused to cooperate with a third-party investigator. Originally, Fisher claimed he did talk to the investigator, even producing a screenshot of a random email where he claims to his staff he was meeting one. Though later, he said wanted a fairer investigation.

Either way, trying to use the production of The Flash as a PR bandaid seems to be a failure. For those unfamiliar, WB offered cameos in that film to Ben Affleck and Ray Fisher, the latter of whom does not seem interested.
