We are all thinking of summer. Come on, you know you are. With everything going on in the world, nothing sounds better than hitting up the parks, the local restaurants, or a nearby beach. Fortunately, summertime has always been a part of America. Through song, several talented musicians remind us of summertime. In no particular order, Here Are Five Rock Songs To Kick Off Your Summer:
Bryan Adams: The Summer Of ’69
Fun times. Lost love. Bryan Adams takes on a journey on an old “six-string” where he talks about the need to “unwind” and how summer became the “best days of my life.”
Superchunk: This Summer
Grab your friends! Raid the fridge! Superchunk tells about a summer adventure a “clear path down to the sea” and just having a good time.
Summer In Paradise
In their iconic, upbeat, and very rockin’ way, the Beach Boys have “fun as America’s band” singing about surfing, living without a care, and enjoying that paradise.
Kid Rock: All Summer Long
Jamming to “Sweet Home Alabama,” Kid Rock decided to take us on a summer adventure in Northern Michigan with campfires, splashing, and “trying different things.”
Don Henley: The Boys Of Summer
Don Henley brings us down the road of nostalgia and unrequited love where “summer is out of reach.” With its jamming music and powerful lyrics, we all remember that one summer from long ago.
