I do not think anyone can deny Danny Trejo (Point Blank, Living The Dream) is known by fans everywhere for his tough-guy roles in comedies, dramas, and action adventures on both the big screen and small screen. Now he is taking it to the next level, so to speak, by becoming a playable character in the video game ‘Scum’ from Epik Prime.
The game will be an immersive story-based open-world survival video game that has “complex game mechanics and unrevealed survival features.”
The gaming studio said on social media, “Hollywood’s most unlikely hero, Danny Trejo, comes to life in Scum… Voiced by the Danny Trejo himself complete with multiple options and accessories to customize your playstyle”
“I’ve been fortunate to work on some incredible projects throughout my career, but seeing myself in a badass game like “SCUM” has got to be one of the highlights,” Danny Trejo explained in a press release. “Working with Epik and Gamepires has been an awesome collaboration. This partnership is an opportunity to engage with fans on a different level.”
The official website describes the game as follows,
“The world’s unquenchable need for entertainment has turned towards bloodlust as entertainment behemoth TEC1 is set to premiere season two of its television sensation SCUM. This new season moves the contest from the rugged, enclosed indoor arenas to the lush forests, rolling fields, and rugged terrains of TEC1’’s own private SCUM Island. Both fan favorites and new prisoners will clash in a ruthless war of survival while battling for the support of viewers, producers, and corporate sponsors for fame, gifts, and a chance of life after death.
SCUM aims to evolve the multiplayer open world survival game with unprecedented levels of character customization, control and progression, where knowledge and skills are the ultimate weapons for long-term survival. Combining the methodical planning and management of hardcore survival with optional PvP ‘network events’ available to everyone at anytime, SCUM strikes a unique balance between complex simulation and intense action in the next generation of survival game.”
The Spy Kids actor is also launching a series of NFTs titled “The Many Faces of Danny Trejo” which will be available on Epik Prime Marketplace.
