Duck Dynasty‘ star Phil Robertson recently announced on his Blaze Media podcast ‘Unashamed’ that he had a daughter he had never met or known. On the show where his sons Willie, Jase, Jep, and Alan discussed how they met her and their reactions to getting to know her.

Alan and Jace explain that they received a letter from a woman named Phyllis who did a DNA profile that revealed that Phil might be her biological father. After a conclusive DNA test, Phil said to, “bring her on down (to Lousiana)” so he could meet her. “It’s a pretty cool explanation of redemption, reconciliation, love,” he added. “After all these years, we come together.”

The brothers all discussed their experiences getting to meet their previously unknown sister and how excited they were getting to know her and her own family. Jace revealed that he had met her at church when she came to hear Phil preach, though he admitted it did not register at the time.
