A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand

US President Abraham Lincoln

On June 16, 1858, Abraham Lincoln won the newly formed Republican Party’s Senate nomination (he would loose the general election) and in his acceptance speech, he said these famous words:

“A house divided against itself cannot stand”

Now, more than ever, we need to stand together. We’ve seen so much turmoil in this nation. We’ve seen an attack on our embassy in Benghazi and seen five men there killed. We’ve seen this scandal with IRS targeting groups because of their ideology. We’ve seen veterans dying because they can’t get healthcare at VA. No one has answered for any of those things yet.

We need to demand answers from those in power. These problems will not go away. We should unite as patriotic Americans and stand up. When we come together, then those in power will listen.
