Rippaverse Comics released their animated trailer to Yaira, their upcoming comic book. Previously, Eric July and his team had released a live action trailer, but fan feedback prompted a short animation based on the comic.

“Enjoy the animated short for our latest comic book, Yaira #1,” Rippaverse said on social media. “This is the 3rd Rippaverse Studios animation. Want to see us develop a series or show? Please consider becoming a member on our website. The more members we have, the more animation we will commit to!”

Eric July wrote on social media, “Here it is. The animated short for Yaira #1! Our 3rd Rippaverse Studios animation. We’d love to do more of these so please consider becoming a member on the website as we are already kicking around ideas. A series? Show? Short film?”

Perhaps all three, Mr. July?

The pre-order campaign for Yaira is about to end and the comics will be sent out. The story is written by horror film directors Jen & Sylvia Soska with artwork by Débora Caritá and lettering by Eric Weathers.

“Good morning world, especially all you existing & soon to be Yaira fans,” the Soskas wrote in a joint statement. “New animation – LET’S GO!!!”

Regarding the campaign, they said, “Only SIX DAYS LEFT in the YAIRA #1 campaign!! Check out Graham Nolan’s GORGEOUS SHINY FOIL Cover C — which is LIMITED TO just 4,000 copies!!”

They added, “This turned out BEAUTIFULLY ♥️ There’s still time to back this EPIC campaign!!! YAIRA heads home THIS MONTH!! Get in where you fit in…”
