‘Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody’ Volume 15 Manga Highlight

Japanese author Ayamegumu and artists Hiro Ainana and Shri release the isekai Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody which enters its fifteenth volume.

Satou must defeat the deadly enemy who killed Sarah in order to resurrect her: The Demon King! The battle with the Demon King goes back and forth with the hero unable to land a decisive blow. However, slowly but surely, Satou is whittling away at the Demon King’s power. Time is of the essence as Sarah’s life hangs in the balance as does the lives of the people unaware of the battle beneath the city of the Old Capital.

The artwork by Hiro Ainana is so impressive in this volume. The battle between Satou and the Demon King is epic, moving with incredible precision. I hope we can get a colorized version of some of those images. They were sleek, refined, and eye-popping.

I would also like to say that I enjoyed the story. It is hard to write a review for this volume without giving away spoilers as there is a separate plot from the battle with the Demon King. Let me just say that this fantasy fiction coming from this series has been excellent and I am enjoying the quest that Satou is on. I do think that it is funny because in previous reviews, I mentioned how I hoped he would get back on his main quest and that is briefly addressed in this volume in a passing, but satisfactory way.

Whatever the case may be, I look forward to more volumes and hopefully a continuation of the anime at some point.
