Resources For Authors Part 2

IMG_20140917_082723_574For my fellow authors, here are a few more craft books that I have found to be helpful in expanding my expertise as a writer.

As I said in a previous post, I use to think that craft books were for the egotistical author who thinks they know everything, however, I released I was the prideful one. I now look for craft books for genre specific, as well as overall construction of your manuscript. Here are three I found most insightful:

The Art of Fiction by Ayn Rand: it’s a general book about writing fiction. It is actually a compilation of notes from a series of lectures Ayn Rand gave for her students and colleagues.

Writer Off The Leash is a blog by Michelle Griep. She gives expert advice for writers through her blog or newsletter. Subscribe to both and you will get some fantastic information to help you out.
