For the second time, Ralph Reed brings us another political thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a sequel to Dark Horse (about the successful third party presidential election of Robert Long).
Shortly after President Long’s inauguration, an associate justice of the Supreme Court dies. The new President of the United States has to deal with his past alliance with the Religious Right, but also feels obligated to reach out to his former colleagues in the Democrat Party, who feel betrayed by him. With a suspicious Republican Party on one side, donors/supporters demanding payback, and an angry Secular Left to deal with, it creates an uphill battle with President Long and his staff. Meanwhile, former political advisor Jay Noble embarks on a campaign in Italy, and later Israel, until he is called once again to serve President Long.
Ralph Reed once again weaves together an impressive tale of political intrigue. He holds no one unaccountable as he takes on the Conservatives, Liberals, and the media in this new novel. I highly recommend it!
