Kim Walker-Smith is a Christian praise and worship singer who has recently gone solo after a successful career with Jesus Culture. She dropped her latest single “Boxes” which she wrote with Mia Fieldes, Jessie Early, and David Leonard (who also produced it).
I got the opportunity to meet Kim Walker-Smith when I was a seminary student. She is one of the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet. She pours this kindness into her music and you can feel it with this song. You can tell that she loves our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of her heart. With “Boxes,” she reminds us that God is a provider, a good one, and even amongst our troubles, He is there for us. It is a wonderful song and one that you do not want to miss.
Check out the lyric video below:
“My hope is that this song serves as a reminder that God makes a way and provides, according to how great He is, not what little we have to offer. I pray God uses it to move you outside of your own boxes and into freedom and deeper trust in Him,” Kim wrote in the video’s description.
She emphasized this further on social media where she wrote, “This song serves as a reminder that the Lord makes a way and provides, according to how great He is, not what little we have to offer. I can’t wait for you to hear it!”
