If you are a parent, I doubt you want to expose your kids to the dark Hollywood agenda. I have a feeling that you want to provide some wholesome content that is fun while teaching good values.

In no particular order, here are five films and TV shows that the whole family can enjoy:

Sonic Prime (Netflix)

Sonic the Hedgehog accidentally shatters a crystal that creates several realities, including one where Dr. Robotnik has won. He and Shadow must work together to put it back together.

Parallel World Pharmacy (Crunchyroll)

A pharmacist in Japan seemingly passes away, but wakes up in a world of magic where his medical powers are enhanced. Sure, this anime might be for older kids, but the emphasis on family and helping others makes it compelling.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Mario and Luigi find themselves in another world where they have to help Princess Peach defeat the evil Bowser. It is an excellent adventure based on the hit Nintendo game.

The Monkey King (Netflix)

In this retelling of a Chinese folk tale, the Monkey King desires to become immortal in this adventure film with an incredible cast.

The Tuttle Twins (YouTube)

A second season from Angel Studios sees Ethan and Emily Tuttle continue their adventures through time and space.

This was a tough year for family friendly content, to be sure. That being said, there is still some wonder and whimsy out there.
