Top 10 BEST Films Of 2022

It is no secret that 2022 was kind of a desert for the cinema. It was so bad, I considered limiting my list to five choices. However, there were a few that at least cropped up over the year that made it fun. As such, I am going to go with what I got and give you a full list. Here are My Top 10 Best Films Of 2022:

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

It is a hilarious romp. Sure, it is bizarre, but that is the point. I applaud Nic Cage for being such a good sport because it was a good time.

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

This is a hilarious parody not only of the life of a pop culture icon but also of the genre of musical biopics. It hit all the right notes and has a climax that rocks.

The feature not only proves Adam Sandler’s acting chops but also delivers a slam dunk of an underdog story. It is one you will not want to miss.

Rise-Roar-Revolt is the type of movie Hollywood is afraid to make. There is very little political pandering. The male protagonists are platonic friends and very masculine, enough to take on a whole army. The women are beautiful and feminine while being strong. It celebrates culture and tradition, plus shows the audience a darn good time.

The Northman

The flick is a story of brutal revenge that pulls you into its story from beginning to end. The performances, plot, and the Viking action makes it to be a great film.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0

The anime works as both a standalone film and a part of the anime it serves as a prequel to. It was a little creepy, but also sleek and cool.

The Batman

It’s an excellent movie that fans can enjoy and appreciate. Robert Pattinson throws himself into the role of the Dark Knight and the villain is terrifying to keep you enthralled in the plot.

Everything Everywhere All At Once

The plot has a redeeming message buried in its bizarre and absurd story. The amazing performances and the overall plot make it one incredible tale.

All Quiet on the Western Front

Sure it is a beautiful film, but it is also a brutal movie that explores the harsh realities of war. No glorification of violence, but a gentle reminder that it is humans who fight in battle.

Top Gun: Maverick

Tom Cruise brings us a thrill ride that returns the audience to the danger zone. I had such a good experience watching it and I have no doubt it will bring memories while ushering in new ones.
