Amy Grant is well-known in the Gospel, pop, and country genres of music. She has inspired many listeners with her unique style and talented voice. She charms us once again with her cover of Jackie DeShannon’s hit song “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.”

The song pays tribute to Grant’s fans. The music video is simple but highlights those who love her music and who have appreciated her over time. With photos, reels, and images from fans, you definitely feel the love she has for her fanbase. She has confirmed this in statements.

“[Drummer] Greg Morrow and I have been closing my concerts with this song for years,” Grant told Taste of Country. “When making the video, we wanted to honor the fans who keep showing up. I love seeing the faces of people who continue to come to my concerts and have kept my career going all these years, longer than I ever expected! Here’s to many more years of celebrating together!”

As for the song itself, it is definitely a good homage to the original, which was more of a pop song. This version has more of a country music vibe to it which makes sense. While not as iconic as the original, I think it does a good job of paying tribute to a lovable classic. Grant has a ton of talent and she once again proves why her name will go down in musical history.
