Christmas Songs For Your 2021 Playlist

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you are having a good time celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while enjoying the Happy Holidays. Of course, the Christmas season would not be complete without the music. I mean, where are you without those familiar ditties to usher in the season? Here is a list of some new songs and covers of some old favorites that came out this year that you have got to add to your Spotify or iTunes playlist.

Caleb Hyles: Little Drummer Boy

This classic hymn about not giving material things gets a new vibe with this version.

The McClures: Christmas Morning

This song is a celebration of the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Its enduring lyrics are very well-written, imaginative, and delivers its message of hope and joy.

Tobymac/Terrian: All I Need For Christmas

It is so great to hear a singer who is not putting vaguery in their songs but proudly talks about Christ on the day of his celebration.

Taylor Swift: Christmas Tree Farm

In a signature Taylor Swift move, it describes spending time with a loved one, drinking cider, sitting by the fire, being under the mistletoe, and wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas.”

for King and Country: Joy To The World

The band uses their unique style of rock to tell this story and bring the song to a new generation.

Amy Grant: Breath of Heaven

The song does a good job of showing Mary’s reluctance to accept the destiny that God put before for her, but also her willingness to go forward in that calling.

Pentatonix: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

This Christmas hymn is such a great tribute to the birth of Christ and Pentatonix’s take on it is nothing short of incredible. All of the band members have amazing talents in the way they sing. Also, the music video is pretty cool.

Raely Elle: Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Raely Elle has a beautiful voice. That includes this cover of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

Sixpence None the Richer: You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch

Okay, this one was for fun.

Lindsey Stirling & Becky G: Christmas C’mon

This song is colorful and entertaining. It breaks from Lindsey Stirling’s usual slow-beat music. It features a pop music feel with a holiday beat and lyrics sang by Becky G with which you can tap along.
