Wolverine has become of the most iconic members of the X-Men, the Avengers, and Alpha Flight (for some reason). Throughout the years of his fighting the bad guys and taking names, he has worn all kinds of interesting outfits. Each one has become legendary to fans of Marvel Comics along with nerds and geeks across the board. I just had to highlight the great ones. Here are my Top 10 Wolverine Costumes:
After Magneto ripped the metal from Wolverine’s bones, he only had his original bones claws. He soon became savage, sporting a bandana.
09. Old Man Logan
Not so much a costume, but an aesthetic that sees Wolverine in a dystopian future where he fights Red Skull and Hulk.
08. Age of Apocalypse
In an alternate reality where Prof. X died and Apocalypse came to rule the world, Wolverine lost his hand and stands for freedom.
Wolverine is chosen to lead X-Force and takes them on black-ops missions to help the mutants.
While Wolverine has appeared in almost ALL animated versions of the X-Men, and usually they just copy the comic books. While this one is certainly a variation of a classic, I think it is unique and helps seal his status as the leader in Wolverine and The X-Men.
When he first appeared in The Incredible Hulk, he was sent by Alpha Fight (again, lamest team) to fight him. The two would have frequent clashes throughout the years.
Hugh Jackman portrays Wolverine in the X-Men film series from FOX, showcasing a costume similar to the Ultimate uniform.
03. Weapon X
Before he was Wolverine, Logan was known as Weapon X. He was one of the fiercest agents, but it cost him his memories and humanity for a time.
This is the one everyone knows and it is certainly awesome. You see it in shows, animated flicks, shows, and even was a skin on Fortnite. This is the one that would take Wolverine from being a part of the X-Men to being a Marvel icon.
Honorable Mention: Amalgam
In another universe, Batman was merged with Wolverine to create the superhero Dark Claw for the Marvel and DC Comics event known as Amalgam.
This is a variation of his uniform that appeared in Uncanny X-Men #139 from John Byrne. I have always been a sucker for darker colors and I think the brown variation is pretty cool.
