Singer and musician Jonathan Young released the music video for “Final Frontier” a song from his new album Starship Velociraptor. He performs the song with the band Galactikraken, “the Best Band in the Universe” and “NOT just Jonathan Young pretending to be several aliens from the future.”
Young once again delivers, bringing us a rock ‘n roll space adventure into the unknown. The sleek lyrics and strong composition tell the story of an earth about to blow up, but humanity’s last survivors are preparing for evacuation. Through the music video, we see the engineers build the ship, families preparing to flee, and a desperate escape attempt at survival. It is a cool song and the animation done for the music video by Acefishy only makes it better.
Of course, not even Jonathan Young is immune to YouTube’s crazy algorithm.
“Can’t even be hype about my new music video for 2 hours without YouTube’s consumerism ruining it,” he wrote on social media. “A few fans of my ‘clickbait’ don’t click it, then YouTube neuters the whole video in the algorithm. If I didn’t have so many subs I could NEVER take that risk with original music.”
It is great to see Young branching further into original works. Hopefully, it will break through the algorithm walls.
