John Newton might be known as the lyricist behind the hymn “Amazing Grace,” but he was so much more. He was a teacher, cleric, and abolitionist. His words of wisdom inspired many to action as he spoke out against the evil of slavery, but also spread the love of the Gospel. Here are my top 10 quotes from John Newton:
