‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ Anime Release Date Announced. Finally.

Fans of the hit anime series ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero‘ got a huge bit of good news when it was announced that season two now has a release date of October 2021.

Naofumi, Raphtalia, Filo, and the ever-growing team will continue the extra-dimensional waves that are plaguing the world of the Melromarc Kingdom. Though Naofumi expressed a desire to return to his own world, he assured his friends that he would not leave them and would continue to help fight the waves.

The Official English Twitter for The Rising of the Shield Hero TV Anime announced it in their feed:

Previously, a second and third season of the hit anime was announced at the 2019 CrunchyRoll Expo panel.

The Rising of the Shield Hero is produced by Kinema Citrus and directed by Takao Abo. It is broadcasted in Japan via  AT-X and in the United States by a partnership between Funimation and CrunchyRoll. The hit dark fantasy anime is based on a series of manga light novels Aneko Yusagi.

Little is known about the plot as only images have been released and the teaser trailers have not been forthcoming. Several mainstream nerd outlets as CBR and Anime News Network tried to suck up to SJWs and paint the series in a negative light. Fortunately, viewers stayed strong and the series went on to become a fan-favorite and my personal favorite anime. I look forward to seasons two and three with anticipation. Hopefully, it will live up to the epic nature of season one and continue to bring some enthralling plots.
