#AmReading – ‘The Long Moonlight: Nightvale Book 1’

Raz0rFist is a popular YouTuber whose “Rageaholic” series of video game streams, documentaries, and commentary have piqued the interest of viewers for years. His first venture into fiction is the noir fantasy the premier book in his “Nightvale” series ‘The Long Moonlight.’

Xerdes is a thief in the magical Kingdom of Vale and the city of Menuvia, his old haunt. One night of thieving, he enters the wrong doorway and finds himself in the middle of a gang war in the city. He runs afoul of Inspector Coggins, who intends to bring him in, and a dangerous crime baron named Cyrus Welliver, who plans on making his first meeting with Xerdes his last. With time against him, Xerdes has to be careful who to trust as the night brings out the worst in everyone.

Raz0rFist is known for his sharp wit as well as his deep introspection. You will find both in The Long Moonlight. It mixes good old fashion noir themes with high fantasy, bringing a genre-bending adventure that will keep you up late at night wanting to know what happens next.
