In 2019, Amy Grant dropped “Breath Of Heaven (Mary’s Song),” a charming Christmas song that is inspired by the story of Mary, mother of Jesus Christ. It is a lovely number that showcases Grant’s unique voice.

From the chorus,

“Breath of heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of heaven”

The song does a good job of showing Mary’s reluctance to accept the destiny that God put before for her, but also the willingness of her to go forward in that calling. It is a creative and graceful message of a woman who played a large role in bringing hope and forgiveness to the world. This is the kind of song that Amy Grant was born to sing. Her unique voice and perspective brings it to life.

One final note, the lyric video is well put together and brings out the song’s message while showing us that the Christmas season is fast approaching.
