Comic book writer Thomas Retzke teams up with artists Hunter Murray and Alessandro Uezu for ‘Stryde: Underworld‘ a successful comic book crowdfunding campaign which I proudly supported.
Cobalt and Stryde work together to keep Denver, Colorado safe from crime. However, Stryde parts ways with his mentor after catching him in a compromised position. Years later, Cobalt seeks the help of his former protege to stop a gang of human traffickers. At first, things are tense between the two, but their chemistry at battling the bad guys helps them overcome their past issues.
Like its predecessor, Stryde tells the story of a hero and his protege, but this one does it well. It is a testament to the talent behind the team that wrote and drew it. They do a fantastic job at bringing this comic book to life and I think it outdoes anything that is currently being pushed by the mainstream industry. I applaud their work and for delivering a quality story mixed with some good art. I cannot wait for the next project.
