Five Girly-Girl Superheroes | Comics, Cartoons, and Coffee

There are superheroes for everyone, so why not “girly girls?” You know, those girls who like sparkles, shiny objects, sweets, and everything in-between. From Shadowcat to Batgirl to Princess Sally to Kamen America to Sailor Moon, there’s plenty of room for everyone. Special thanks to my wife for her help with all of the research.

Check out the episode below:

I will admit, “girly girl” is not my area of expertise, other than to say my wife is one. A lot of times, girls who like sparks, frilly creams & lotions, shiny objects, and a whole host of cutesy things get overlooked in a lot of media. With the help of my wife, I tracked five down and it was a lot of fun.

For Batgirl, I wanted to highlight Barbara Gordon and Cassandra Cain. Obviously, they are two different characters, but hey, who is counting? They are both dynamite. I also mention Shadowcat from the X-Men and give a shoutout to Ellen Page, who played in the films.
