Sonic The Hedgehog is now an iconic video game character thanks to the franchise created by SEGA. Not only has Sonic supporting characters given us hours of fun gameplay, but also some great songs to jam, not just through your gaming console, but also on Saturday morning cartoons. Honorable Mention: Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog

This mostly comedic show brought Sonic and his sidekick Tails fighting Dr. Robotnik and his three robotic henchmen Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts who are all pretty much buffoons. The theme song is iconic and every true Sonic has it stuck in their head every once and a while.

10. His World

In the 2006 reboot game, we got a glimpse into the world of Sonic from beginning to end and how he races to save the day.

09. Escape From The City

Sonic Adventure 2 introduced the sometimes ally, sometimes nemesis Shadow the Hedgehog also has this jamming tune as Sonic battles his way through the city.

08. Sonic Riders Intro

Sonic and Tails team-up with their ally Knuckles the Echidna to race in a hover-board competition where they take on a whole new challenge, especially since Sonic is used to using his feet.

07. Sonic Rules

Sonic CD was the game that won a lot of skeptics to the franchise over. Many gamers consider it a fan favorite and that goes for the American intro into the PC game.

06. Sonic Mania Opening Animation

With this techno-pop sound, we get a glimpse of everything that makes the SEGA sound so great. The vivid sounds, the iconic effects, and of course the animation is pretty cool.

05. Open Your Heart

Sonic Adventure was one of the first games to give Sonic and company some serious voice talent and the music was no different. This Sonic played as the intro showed the deadly enemy Chaos would become.

Honorable Mention: Sonic X Theme

“Gotta go fast” was the opening of the Fox Box (later 4KidsTV) animated series based in the SEGA character. Season one focused on establishing Sonic on our world, season two adapted Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 while the final season saw Sonic and friends head into space.

03. Sonic Heroes Intro (Extended)

Team Chaotix? Rouge the Bat? Shadow is back? Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles working together? These heroes will work together to stop Dr. Robotnik’s plans right along with this epic theme song.

02. City Escape

A reprise of “Escape From The City,” this song has a more soulful sound to it as the game Sonic Generations brings two versions of the iconic blue blur together to stop Dr. Robotnik.

01. Fastest Thing Alive

The Saturday morning cartoon Sonic The Hedgehog, known affectionately as Sonic SatAM by fans, was a more serious take on the character, though Sonic maintained his sense of humor and self-confidence. The show is a classic of the 90s and one every longtime fan is familiar with and often adores.
