Gospel singer Zach Williams joins forces with one of Country music’s greatest legends Dolly Parton for a song all about their faith “There Was Jesus” featured on the album of the same name. It is written by Zach Williams, Casey Beathard, and Jonathan Smith.
Zach Williams brings some strong encouragement with his music. From “Chainbreaker” to “Empty Grave,” he delivers some heartwarming Gospel songs and this one is no different. It really drives home how Jesus is by your side through the good times and the bad. Throw in Dolly Parton’s unchallenged vocal talents and it makes for one encouraging song.
I also liked the music video. As Williams and Parton sing in a barn, it is juxtaposed to three stories where we see people who are having a tough time in their lives. The song’s lyrics go right along with it as the stories are told. It is a perfect match.
