Top 10 Best Animated Films Of The Decade (2010s)

The 2010s saw amazing leaps forward when it came to animated films. Several movie studios stepped up their game over the decade to produce some high-quality content. Now, there were some mediocre features, but for the most part, we got some amazing films that were mind-blowing. For the 2010s, Top 10 Best Animated Films Of The Decade:

10. Rio (2011)- Blue Sky Studios brought us a moving story about a rare bird who is brought to Brazil so he can save his species. With incredible flight sequences and an all-star cast, this was a delight for the eyes.

09. Planet Hulk (2010)- Sam Liu directs this direct adaption of the Marvel Comics story-arc of the same name. Rick D. Wasserman voices Hulk after he is banished from Earth by the Illuminati and forced into gladiatorial games on the alien planet of Sakaar. Traditionally animated, this film is stunning and epic.

08. How To Train Your Dragon (2010)- DreamWorks Animation brings us the tale of an unlikely Viking named Hiccup who befriends a dragon named Toothless as his whole clan prepares to hunt the creatures.

07. Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths (2010)- Originally planned to be attached to the WB series Justice League Unlimited, writer Dwayne McDuffie retooled to be an independent adaption of the DC Comics crossover event. With an all-star cast that includes William Baldwin as Batman and James Wood as his evil counterpart Owlman, it leads to an ultimate conclusion that crosses dimensions.

06. Coco (2017)- Pixar takes us on an adventure with the young boy Miguel through the Land of the Dead so he can find his grandfather and learn about his amazing musical talent.

05. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)- Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation brings us a new adventure featuring Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they learn what it means to be a hero.

04. The Peanuts Movie (2015)- Also known as Snoopy and Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie, Blue Sky Studios brings Charles M. Schultz’s iconic characters to life in a charming and meaning way.

03. The Secret Life Of Pets (2016)- Pampered Jack Russell terrier Max’s life is turned upside down when his owner brings home a large fluffy dog Duke. After an incident in the park, the two vanish, leaving neighbor white Pomeranian dog Gidget to rally their friends to save them from being lost. This is one of Illumination Entertainment’s finest features.

02. Tangled (2010)- One of the last Disney princess films that capture the essence of those films, it tells the story of Rapunzel who was locked away in a tower by someone she thought cared for her.

01. Toy Story 3 (2010)- Pixar brings the story of toys Buzz Lightyear and Woody’s life to full circle as their owner Andy prepares to go to college.
