Kim Walker-Smith is one of the finest, most talented lyricists and Christian musicians of our age. In full disclosure, I met Mrs. Walker-Smith and her husband Skyler Smith while I was attending BSSM. They were both friendly and were cordial as I fanboyed. As for this new song Just Be, it is pretty cool.
Just be here at Your feet
Just be here on my knees
Here in Your presence, I am complete
Jesus, You’re all that I need
Written by Kim Walker-Smith, she has an incredible talent at invoking a sense of peace with her songs. Just Be is no different. It is a wonderful and artistic expression of the artist’s love for God, displaying a desire to sit in His presence. In this fast-paced world we live in, this song is a much-needed reminder to sit back and enjoy spending time with God.
