Marvel Studios made the bold decision to release the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. While the footage seems to ignore the Avengers: Endgame, it has spoiled the fact that Peter Parker will, in fact, be resurrected following Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War.
A few fans have expressed butt-hurt over this. I am pretty sure there is a cream for that. I honestly do not care. Somehow the MCU gets held to a bizarre standard that no other franchise gets held to. We all know Ethan Hunt is going to survive whatever the Mission: Impossible franchise throws at him, same with James Bond. Did they really think Peter Parker was going to die? Seriously. That is moronic.
As for the trailer itself, it shows Peter and his classmates traveling to Europe. He encounters Nick Fury who partners him with Mysterio as they battle a group of villains called the Elementals. It has two ridiculous woke jokes that are absolutely stupid and pointless. Other than that, I found that as a Spider-Man sequel, it definitely looks like a lot of fun. I enjoyed the remix of the classic Spidey theme as the back-drop. I also enjoyed seeing the various costumes that resemble the stealth suit and the red/black variant.
I think it looks like it is going to be a fun live action adventure for everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Tom Holland really gets into the role and Jake Gyllenhaal definitely works as Quentin Beck. I am looking forward to seeing the two of them in action for this film and, who knows, maybe beyond.
