Music Review- Emily Kinney: Same Mistakes

Emily Kinney makes waves not only with her ability to act, but also with her singing abilities. She has the charming, inspiring, and beautiful voice to be a hit singer. From her music video Mermaid Song to Boy Band Hero, she proves how far someone can take their talent. The same goes for her latest song and music video to usher in the new year: Same Mistakes from her new album “Oh Jonathan.”

The song talks about seeing the same loved one over and over again, even when it hurts. Similar to Mermaid Song, it tells the story of a longing for love that seems problematic to everyone around them, but it is the love that the singer’s heart desires. It is a reflective song that has Emily Kinney’s talented vocals and musical accompanied that matches perfectly.

As for the music video, it is simple, showing performances at the various venues Kinney and her band have performed their music. It matches the tone of the song very well.
