Music Review- Madilyn Bailey Covers Something Just Like This

Madilyn Bailey is a singer and songwriter who does not just do her own work but also covers some cool hit songs. This time she covers “Something Just Like This” the collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Coldplay.

The song first appeared on The Chainsmokers’ debut 2017 album Memories…Do Not Open. It was written by Andrew Taggart, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Chris Martin. The song was certified Platinum in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and certified Gold of Japan. Now Bailey tackles it.

From start to finish, Bailey performs the song in an incredible manner. She lights it on fire and her vocals are extraordinary as it comes to life. She renders the lyrics in a completely believable way. While it does not have the impact of the original, she does do it justice. Her music video is perfect for the tone she was setting for the performance. It perfectly compliments the song in the way she does it. I love her voice is stellar and I think that she pays some serious homage to it. I hope that Bailey does more songs like this.
