CS Lewis delved not only into fantasy novels with the Chronicles of Narnia, but also science fiction and steampunk with The Space Trilogy, a little known series that is rarely mentioned.
Perelandra also known as Voyage To Venus is the second in the trilogy. It continues the story of Elwin Ransom, who is this time sent to Perelandra or as we know it: Venus. He encounters his old nemesis Weston who is there to corrupt the Queen of the Planet, the only sentient being there.
Lewis takes a turn from showing us an innocent culture in the previous book and instead shows the formation of a world. Most of the story is told through dialogue and it is extensive, not in a boring way. It comes together and is very interesting all the way through.
