Back in the good ol’ days, the Disney Channel focused on good, quality television to provide entertainment. They had great shows like The Jersey, Even Stevens, The Lizzie McGuire Show, and the last great one Phil of the Future. They also produced some pretty awesome TV Movies that kept us entertained all night long. Here is a list of my Favorite Disney Channel Original Movies.

My Date With The President’s Daughter– When the first daughter meets a young man at a shopping mall, he does not realize it until he shows up at the White House. It leads to one great adventure. Technically, this was on ABC, but Disney produced it and reran on the Disney Channel.

Double Teamed!– This film tells the inspiring story of twin basketball players Heather and Heidi Burge. It talks about how they got into the sport during their high school years and beyond.

Get A Clue– Lindsay Lohan was sane when this movie was filmed. It is about a few students at a ritzy private school investigate the disappearance of a beloved school teacher.

Cadet Kelly– This movie stars two television leads Hillary Duff and Christy Carlson Romano. The former as a cadet in a military academy where her stepfather is commandant and the latter as a head cadet. This was one of the best.

Rip Girls– A young girl is forced to move to Hawaii with her father and stepmother to discover she inherited a huge plot of land that is used by the locals for surfing. She soon makes friends and grows to love the tides.

Buffalo Dreams– Josh Townsend moves to New Mexico and befriends some local Navajo kids. One of them has the ability to soothe the angry buffalo herd. He is into BMX bikes and enters a dangerous race.

Go Figure– A young figure skater is excited to learn from a famous Russian trainer, but to afford it, she has to play ice hockey. Between school, ice hockey, and figure skating, life is getting complicated.

The Even Stevens Movie– Spun-off from the sitcom Even Stevens, it follows the Stevens family getting a free vacation. Little do they know, they are on a reality show and are pawns in a very weird game.

Johnny Tsunami– A young Hawaiian teen is forced to move to Vermont for his dad’s job. He learns that skiing and snowboarding are very different than surfing the waves off the Pacific.

Going To The Mat– A blind teenager from New York moves to a small town. Though he loves basketball, he is forced to try something different in wrestling. He soon learns that his only handicap is himself.
