#ThrowbackThursday – Favorite Sega Genesis Games

SEGA!

Who remembers logging onto their first game system and hearing that first sound? I know I do. Like many Millennials, my first game system was a Sega Genesis. It was a 16 bit game console that I played with a plugged in standard controller. Oh, and get this, the games were played with cartridges only on a few you could save your progress. Today for Throwback Thursday, here’s a list of my favorite games.

  • Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?
  • Street Fighter II
  • The Adventures of Batman and Robin
  • Joshua and the Battle of Jericho
  • Streets of Rage
  • Total Football
  • Golden Axe
  • Urban Strike
  • Sonic The Hedgehog
  • Frogger
  • Toy Story
  • The Lost World: Jurassic Park
  • Primal Rage
  • Math Blaster: Episode 1
  • Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage
  • The Lion King
  • Sonic The Hedgehog 2
  • Mortal Kombat
  • NBA Jam
  • Sonic and Knuckles

Those were my favorite video games. Here’s a fun fact, if at the “start” menu on Sonic The Hedgehog, you pressed UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, hold down A, and press START, you can select the level you want to play.
