#MondayBlues – Let The Week Begin!

Good Morning, yes, today is the day: Monday.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling those Monday Blues.

Whoa, someone call Beyoncé, I wrote a rhyme that sounds like one of her songs! Yeah! Oh, I forgot to complain about something. Never mind.

Because I’m on the early morning shift, technically, my week starts on Saturday, but I don’t feel it on Saturday. I always feel those Monday Blues.

What is it about Monday? I mean, technically Sunday is the first day of the week and a lot of people work on Sunday mornings. I mean, I was a youth and kids pastor for a few years so Sunday was always the start. Yet, even back then, I always felt it on the following Monday.

I think for those of us who have worked an 8 to 5, we know that Monday was that first day when you got to get through. If you had a poor Monday, your week was set to be bad too or at least it felt that way.

A few times, I felt like I was getting nowhere. Dealing with aggravating co-workers, weird schedules, annoying customers, or being sick. However, I realized, I’m not just doing this for myself. I’m doing it for my wife, for my shelter, and for my transportation.

Mondays, yes, they can be so bad sometimes, but those Monday mornings are the start of something really cool. Its the start of doing something your good at, for people you care about, and for your livelihood.

This post is dedicated to you who face the Monday Blues. Here’s to the early birds, the mid-day matchers, the evening time arrivers, the late shift stretchers, the night shift yawners, and the graveyard shift coffee drinkers. Keep up the hard work. You are doing good for you and your family.

This article is meant to put a smile on your face with some of the humor, but I hope you were encouraged as well. Be sure to subscribe!
