Patriot Day is day to remember September 11th, 2001, when terrorists targeted us for no other reason than we are the United States of America. It was a sad, cowardly act that saw the death of hundreds of Americans.
Then on September 11th, 2012, terrorists of the same ideology attacked the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya. It, too, was a sad, tragic event that could have been avoided.
We must never forget these two days in our American history. They help us stay vigilant and watchful though our politicians grow lazy.
Below, I have placed a gallery of the 9/11 Memorial in my home state of Texas in the city of Beaumont. It has materials made from the actual Twin Towers that collapsed. You can find it at Tyrrell Park if you ever get the chance to visit.
Good article. I really liked the tribute garden in Beaumont. I remember being 7 or 8 and terrifired because I didn’t understand what was happening, I just saw the images on the news and the adults around me talking very anxiously and urgently. Now that I’m an adult I’m not terrfied anymore, I’m filled with justified anger. I think more Americans need to allow themselves to be filled with justified anger instead of just rolling on their backs and saying “sorry” for everything and acting like debiles
