Graphic Novel Review- Star Wars: Skywalker Strikes

01 Star Wars Skywalker strikes

What happened in-between Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope and Episode V The Empire Strikes Back? This graphic novel, set during the Star Wars Darth Vader ongoing series answers that question.

After the Rebel Alliance destroyed the Death Star, the rebels are on a high attempting to destroy one of the largest Imperial factories in the galaxy. At first, things go well for Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo who are leading the mission, but when Darth Vader himself shows up, Luke decides to confront him about the death of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

What follows is a great story featuring such classic characters like Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt, and Admiral Ackbar. It also introduces some new characters who are quite surprising in nature.

Written by Jason Aaron with artwork by John Cassaday, this is the first volume of the ongoing Star Wars comic book series by Marvel Comics. I am impressed by how much care Marvel is putting into making the new Star Wars expanded universe. While this series is not as good as Vader, it still has an impressive storyline and is just really cool. As a true Star Wars fan, not a fake one, I enjoyed it immensely.

If you would like to order your paperback copy of my debut novel Cacophony: A Tale Of Faith And Fear, click here. If you want to download it for your iPad or tablet click here. The Kindle edition is now on sale! It is an incredible paranormal thriller about a group of demons trying to steal human souls by assaulting their church. The Messenger Gabriel, a Guardian angel Christopher, and the Seven Archangels are sent by God to stop them. It’s a tale that mixes drama, supernatural fiction, with a dash of fantasy.
