Just Imagine Fight(s) has a brand new duel for you. These epic battles between two famous fictional characters are not traditional, but seriously cool. Best of all, the characters can be from anywhere. Comic books, Saturday morning cartoons, anime. video games are all up for grabs. Normally these characters would never crossover, but on this blog, they will meet to challenge each other. This is how it works. I calculate the advantages and disadvantages of each fighter, utilizing their skill, experience, and the equipment they have on their person. After that, I determine who would win based on their stats, giving you an explanation afterwards.

Today, we have the Nexus. Created by horror writer Mike Baron and artist Steve Rude, Horatio Hellpop is given superhuman abilities from aliens called the Merk. He punishes humans who have caused mass genocide on planets across the galaxy. You can find his classic stories in the pages of Capital Comics and today’s plots take place in Dark Horse. His is opponent is the rebellious Green Lantern known as Guy Gardener. His brash, strong willed, and has served briefly with a Sinestro Corp, though he soon became a GL Corp member again. He is imaginative and has always brought honor to his ring.

Nexus, the Executioner of the Merk:

Advantages– With special bands given to him by the Merk, Horatio is given super strength, flight, the ability to breath in space, and can heal from almost any wound.

Disadvantages– He is not invulnerable and has almost died on several occasions. If he does not fulfill a mission, he is haunted by nightmares and visions. He is reluctant and is often not interested in performing his heroic duties.

Guy Gardener, Justice League International:

Advantages- With his Oan power ring, he can fly and create virtually any weapon that he so desires.

Disadvantages– He is stubborn, brash, and often foolish. He can also be disloyal. He has joined the Sinestro Corp, the Red Lantern Corp, and at one time become a Vuldarian.

The Winner: Nexus

While the Green Lanterns are extremely powerful, Nexus has defeated many incredibly powerful foes who could match Guy Gardener. His Merk-powered gauntlets could easily be a destructive weapon that has no end to its energy. He would simply have to outlast Guy in a fight and let his ring loose its energy before delivering the victories blow.
