Written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker with illustrations by Salva Espin, Wolverine Season One is another addition to Marvel Comics new series that retells the origins of all of our favorite characters.
With a few changes, Wolverine stays pretty close to his early tales, such as his career with Department H (the precursor to Alpha Flight) and his battle with the Incredible Hulk, it also takes a few liberties. For instance, his time with Weapon X seemed a bit longer, he left Department H to join the X-Men mutually, and a few other things. It was not a big deal and I thought it was well crafted.
The only thing I did not care for was the focus on Department H characters. They are second class heroes at best and I found their scenes boring. Other than that, it lives up to the title hero’s story and was a great addition to the Season One series.

The Kindle edition is now on sale! It is an incredible paranormal thriller about a group of demons trying to steal human souls by assaulting their church. The Messenger Gabriel, a Guardian angel Christopher, and the Seven Archangels are sent by God to stop them. It’s a tale that mixes drama, supernatural fiction, with a dash of fantasy.
